Singapore is our homeland. If we don't protect our homeland who will?That is why it is important for us to be united, to face all challenges.

Why must we serve our country? That is the question that everyone asks. But the question have already answered itself. Why must we serve OUR country? Because it is ours. If you rely on someone else to do it, it is not yours anymore. It is theirs. The only way we can say that it is OUR country is to defend it in every way we can. If not, it is not ours anymore.

My Ans: Take a look at the logo of the Civil Defence pillar. It has 5 pillars and shows a house. Even if one pillar falls, it would not be a home anymore. So, Singaporeans must remain united in order to keep Singapore secure.
